All My Love.

you and me

My husband has been my best friend for eighteen years. We were just kids when we started dating. Kids in high school, living with our parents.

All these years later; graduation, jobs, a cramped apartment, junk cars, debt, marriage, job losses, mortgages, bills, loved ones lost, new friends, eliminating debt, illness, gain, old friends, home remodeling, vacations, salvation, infertility, celebrations, twin boys, parenting, surprise baby boy, parenting!, toddlers, potty training, preschoolers, and so many birthdays later,
he's still my very best friend.

We've spent a little over half our lives together. We've been up and down and down and up. And through it all, love remains.

I am grateful to be his wife. He holds my heart.

Happy Valentines Day, babe.

Warrior.

war·ri·or

[wawr-ee-er, wawr-yer, wor-ee-er, wor-yer] noun

1. a person engaged or experienced in warfare; soldier.

2. a person who shows or has shown great vigor, courage, or aggressiveness, as in politics or athletics.

I was telling my brother the other day about my writing. My love for writing, my desire to write and how I've been writing for years. He had no idea. I explained my first blog, Beautiful Chaos and how I recently changed the title. I shared the name "Raising Three Arrows" and why, quoting my blog verse,
"…Like a warrior’s fistful of arrows are the children of a vigorous youth. Oh, how blessed are you parents…" Psalm 127:3-5 MSG
"So, do you consider yourself a warrior?" he asked.
I paused a moment as an indescribable image went through my mind.
"Yes. Yes I do." I replied.
He lifted his head and looked me straight in the eye, "Momma warrior."
....
MOMMAS. Get this.
We are not the same.
We do not live the same lives.
We do not eat the same food.
We do not dress alike.
We may not speak the same language.
We do not discipline nor teach our children the same way.
Many of us live and breathe in different time zones.
WE ARE NOT THE SAME.

God did not create us to be same.

But we share one common thread:    WE ARE "MOMMA WARRIORS".

And that's it mommas. WE ARE WARRIORS, out here on the front lines fighting for our families; our husbands and our children. We do BRAVE every day. We make courageous decision every day. We step out in faith so many moments of our lives, usually without realizing it. And when we have to stop and think about it, well, we do the best we can for our family.
We should be unified by this one common thread. We should be able to call on one another, support one another, and bless one another, because we are ultimately on the same side.
We are for our husbands. We are for our children. We are for our families.
And that should be enough. Enough reason to stand together and build each other up.
