Because we need each other.

"The faith of friends can carry us to the healing touch of Father, and the words of women can lay us before the Word of the Wounded Healer.
We need each other.
Not for stats, connections, networking.
We need each other for the moments when we’ve got to borrow the strength of  each others’ words, borrow a friend’s faith that lifts us up,
borrow a little encouragement just to carry us through the day."
A. Voskamp, A Holy Experience

I spent the evening with several women from our church last night.  And a few of us lingered, late into the night, pouring out our hearts to one another.
I poured out my heart and received some much needed soul-filling. Conversation that only women-friends can have. With some personal burdens lifted, I've been smiling all day. I've also got some new prayers for some sweet dear souls, and burdens I will help them carry. I will carry them all the way to the cross.
 ...
No matter what our lives look like, women, mommas, we need each other. Time together. Praying together. Praying for each other. Lifting each other when our burdens are just too heavy to lift ourselves. Ann nails it when she says "...my sisters, their words, carried me back to Jesus and brought healing in a way I can’t even fully explain..."
I cannot explain it, I just simply need my sisters in Christ.

We need each other.
